The sizing and shape of this pattern is so perfect. I absolutely adored sewing this! Including piecing and quilting, I finished it in one weekend.
Because I had quilted the top fabric to polar fleece, I wanted something really lightweight for the lining and so I used cotton gauze... Warning! Don't use gauze! It sticks to the velcro.
Feedback from the new mom was very positive, but she did divulge that a zipper would have been useful for diaper changing. I don't normally keep zippers that long in the house, but I've since gone out and bought a few to have on hand, because I'll definitely be making this for other babies :)
Thank you so much for your wonderful design!

Assembling the pattern was a bit confusing, but once I followed the directions it came together ( should have read the directions first)

The pattern was great and easy to put together once printed. Very easy to sew I followed the YouTube tutorial to make sure I didn’t miss anything. They turned out so cute

I loved the sew along video for this swaddle! I was able to get it done in no time at all! I have a grandson coming this December that will be snuggling up in it. Thank you for the easy to follow directions/video!

This is for a soon-to-be-born granddaughter! Hopefully it will fit, but we don't know yet!

I really like this pattern. The instructions though...
It doesn't make sense to sew the front pannels together then the back pannels together, then sew the front chunk to the back chunnk. The way this is designed you end up with one line of stitching keeping ~8 layers of fabric together at exactly the spot that will experience the most wear in use. I get that it's a bit easier for new sewists but if I'm going to make something from scratch, I want it to last
My recommendation: Sew the outer fabrics together, press seams to one side and stitch over them to reinforce the seam. Sew inner fabrics together, repeat same seam pressing and stitching process. Turn inside out and then stitch everything together. It might be slightly more complicated but it WILL be much stronger.

This is the easiest pattern I've made for these wraps. My daughter loves these and my grandson is very calm when he's wrapped.

I love this pattern. It’s easy to follow with step by step instructions. I made this for my grandchild that’s coming in January. I will post photos after the baby arrives. My next project is the sleep sack! Can’t wait!

Easy to follow instructions. Swaddling blanket is very adjustable.

It was a long process from start to finish. I printed the pattern put on card stock which was the best thing to do because of the amount of cutting involved. Over all I enjoyed this project.

This was a fascinating project because I’d never seen a swaddle before!

Perfect. My grand babies are coming in the spring and these are already for them.

The pattern was very easy to follow.

I tried other swaddling blanket patterns, but this is by far the best.

Great pattern, only had 1 tweak - hope the future mommy will love it!

Sorry, I have not had time to sew this yet. Been working on masks for local groups. Hope to make next month.

I made these for my preemie grand daughter. I absolutely love it! The only thing my daughter suggested to me was to make one side longer than the other to wrap around her better instead of using Velcro. Maybe when she is bigger??

Had a little trouble following the instructions with the darts (had never sewn darts before) but was able to correct my mistake and move on. Sewed up nice and otherwise an easy pattern to follow.

The pattern and directions were complete and easy to follow. I am still waiting to use them as my triplet grandchildren have not yet arrived.

Did not have a baby to hand to model this. Cute with toy monkey.

Love love this pattern and a quick sew

Pattern was easy to follow, and made a cute swaddle. However, I noticed some things in the pattern that maybe I got confused with or were incorrect. I also changed a few things to make the finished product more polished. It also runs pretty big but the baby will grow into it, all and all it's a cute pattern.

Great pattern, completed in no time at all.

Haven't sewed in years. Easy pattern and easy to sew.

Love this swaddle pattern! Made it in one day!

Super easy! And excellent design!! It will make swaddling a breeze! Thanks guys!!!
Cynthia M.
Pattern printed perfectly and was easy to tape together. Detailed instructions were excellent. Not sure about fit as the Princess hasn’t entered the world yet. Swaddle turned out great!
Kimberely N.
Great pattern. Went together easily, instructions were great and easy to follow. Can't wait to put it on my new baby niece!

Extremely well written pattern. A little big on my newborn granddaughter. Some Velcro will make the fit more snug. So excited to have such good instructions as I know pattern writing is difficult.
Susan M.
Loved making this!!! Was a LOT easier than I thought it would be. It took a few minutes to figure out to flip the swaddler over to place the last 2 pieces of Velcro but because your example had contrasting fabrics it didn’t take that long. Maybe add that to your instructions, I added them manually to mine!! Thank you! Great pattern!!! Very pleased!!

This pattern is AWESOME!! Honestly I was a little intimidated at first but it turned out to be so much more simple than I thought! So much fun!!
The fit is great - although for my beanstalk- Id probably add a couple inches to the bottom as well as a few more straps of velcro as my girl likes to be swaddled super tight!

I forgot to take a picture. It was for a 8 lbs 4 oz baby girl 30” long

The child is not born yet so I can't show pictures of it being used. This pattern was easy to follow. I was able to make 7 of them in one day!!!

I am not an expert at sewing but I was able to follow instructions and swaddle turned out so good. Thank you for excellent pictures and instructions.

So easy to understand the instructions with great colour pictures

A friend made it and I liked it so much that I bought the pattern. I am in the process of making it. My friend used cotton gauze. When she washed it, the Velcro ripped the fabric so that it is unusable. Do you have options other than Velcro. My friend saw a ready made garment that had magnets enclosed in fabric. Do you know anything about magnetic snaps and where they could be purchased. I'm using snuggle flannel so maybe the Velcro won't be a problem. My idea is to put a piece of loose Velcro on each piece of Velcro in the garment when it is washed. But maybe mom couldn't be bothered with this. Virginia

Hi,
I was thrilled with your pattern as I wanted to make these for a friend expecting twins in Feb. Your instructions were very easy to follow and they sewed up in a snap ..
Thanks again

I was pleased with the quality of the pattern and instructions. I have not done any clothing construction for several years so it took a bit to get out of quilt mindset. I didn't bother with a seam guide so my seams are a bit wonky but that didn't cause a problem. Instructions were clear enough that a beginning sewer could make the wrap. I made mine out of flannel so I did clip curves. I do wish I had marked a few additional matching points since I was working with flannel but the wrap went together easily enough without them. I would really like to have a baby to model it but had to make do with a roll of quilt batting and a ball. Will just have to wait for grand baby to get here to see how it fits.

easiest pattern I have worked with. Simple and quick. Baby is not born yet so cannot show it it action. Baby is due in October
Shari C.
The first one I made, I followed the instructions exactly. The second time, I made it so the seam on the cover did not show. I put the cover wrong side of top of the swaddler piece outside fabric up. I then turned it right side. I thought this looked better on the outside but it did put a thick seam on the inside and I am not sure if it would be comfortable for the baby. I also did not top stitch the top of the cover but I did top stitch the swaddler. Overall, I thought the pattern was easy to follow, looks great and will work well.
Cheryl H.
I made my swaddler a little different using vintage fabrics and using one fabric for the inside and another for the outside. I love the pattern and it was simple to make!
cynthia l.
Just piecing all pieces together just didnt line up and I had to draw around. But a easy fix.
Ronanne F.
Easy pattern and wonderful instructions. Love it!

Super easy pattern to follow. Absolutely love the design. My granddaughter loves it because it doesn't bunch up around the babies neck.
Judy M.
The swaddler turned out great! I made one for my great grandson and he seems to love it. The pattern was easy to use and the directions were clear. Thanks!

I made these as a baby gift for twin girls who are arriving in July! I love how easy the pattern is to put together and how detailed the directions and photos are! I am excited to see them in action once the little girls are here!
